LVM 5: Kristall building awarded DGNB Gold Preliminary Certificate
The building, commissioned by the Agricultural Insurance Association in Muenster, was awarded the DGNB Gold Preliminary Certificate in the New Office and Administrative Buildings category at the Consense 2011; the International Green Building Congress.
The LVM 5 building; also known as the ‘Kristall’ (crystal) due to its distinctive cubism, was designed by former HPP Partner, Prof. Duk-Kyu Ryang as entry for the 2010 competition. HPP Architects will carry out the execution planning of the project that is to provide 19,300 m² of GFA and will be situated adjacent to the LVM tower also designed by HPP on the insurer’s property on the Kolde-Ring in Muenster. Completion is planned for the summer of 2014.
