This administration building for Phönix-Rheinrohr AG (a Thyssen company as
of 1964) is considered one of the high points of postwar German architecture. Today the Dreischeibenhaus continues to fulfill its communicative, urban plan-
ning function with symbolic character, while as a stand-alone structure situated between the Hofgarten and Schauspielhaus it is also simply a unique architec-
tural achievement.
