



The tobacco company Yenidze’s building in Dresden was built in the oriental style in 1909 and was used as a cigarette production facility until the beginning of the 1950’. After 1953 the factory was used for storage and administration. To bring the complex in line with the requirements of a modern office building, the cupola structure had to be renovated and the wing that had been destroyed during the war had to be reconstructed. For the reconstruction of the 20m high cupola, 860 mイ of glass were manufactured according to original designs. The reconstructed minarets are again being used for the ventilation of the building, as was their original purpose. Almost 7500 mイ of office space was created. A restaurant extends across two floors in the lower section of the impressive cupola in which cultural events regularly take
