The design for the highest building in Sofia originated with an international competition in 2007. Beginning in 2011, the Europe Tower will provide the initiating spark for urban development in a new district in the middle of the
city on an industrial waste area. At the same time, with a height of 210 meters,
it will become a significant new visual trademark of the rising Bulgarian metro-polis. The Europe tower was conceived as an office tower with luxury residences and a sky lounge and forms an oversized V – an homage to the surrounding Vitosha Mountains.
