The new inspection building for Cold Co. was constructed on VDO’s site in Schwalbach im Taunus where HPP had already built an administrative building, a development centre and a technical school for the client.
The upper storey houses the technical inspection systems, technical services and the cold chambers. The technical zones are on the level above the inspection and control room, the test vehicle garage is on the ground floor. The rectangular structure is constructed of fair faced concrete and clad in horizontal industrial glazing.
