In 1990, a research and development center was built next to the central administration building of the Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG.
The two 140 meter long structures are connected to each other in the centre by steel bridges to each level. The glazed pavilion roof over the central section and two open atria, lends it the feel of a winter garden. At the core of this complex of buildings is the test hall with the demonstration printing press.
